Bing Brings Visual Search
Sep 16th
Bing has always been pretty…… now it gets more pretty and really useful to in a visually refreshing way. The new feature shows you pretty Silverlight-powered fly-in thumbnail images for your searches, such as "Digital cameras," “Dog breeds,” "New cars," “Movies in theater,” “Popular Books,” “Popular Celebs,” “Popular TV Shows,” "Top songs" etc. to name a few. As you refine a query from one of the 50 visual searches available, thumbnails that don’t match your query anymore fly off screen, and the rest reshuffle to fill in the blank spaces.
It is not the normal search, no…. you won’t get the answers or results of everything that you search in it, Bing Visual Search for now only has a few selected popular search queries. You won’t get result if you search for your name.
A cool way to search for iPhone Apps -
or Albums -
or Movies –
You try the rest. Simply go to www.bing.com/visualsearch and install Silverlight if you don’t have it already. What you’ll see is an amazing new visual search experience. Visual Search allows you to quickly scroll through the galleries or do a one-click refinement using the quick tabs on the left, which are specifically relevant to the type of results you are browsing through.
